Jackie McConnell, the trainer who, along with his
employees, was caught on tape, had no comment for ABC News, and showed no
remorse. McConnell was the trainer for owners who wanted their Tennessee Walking
Horses to conquer the competition, he would beat the horses so they would go
higher, to conquer even more. These trainers wouldn’t even acknowledge the fact
they had done wrong leaving no comment or anything. The investigation done soon
after showed all the foreign substances on the horses legs to show where they
were beat and chemicals added to wounds to add stamina and power to the animals.
In conclusion the animals were cruelly punished due to the incompetence of the
owners and trainers letting the poor animals suffer and the winners getting
both money and recognition for their wrong doing.
